Welcome to my practice. A successful therapeutic experience is one that can enrich your life, lead to more connected relationships, provide a deeper awareness of self, and give your life meaning.

It is not always easy for people to make the decision to consider therapy, so I congratulate you on your interest and commitment to explore change.  Exploration of self is a necessary part of psychotherapy. Clients should feel understood and safe, and the experience must be both authentic and helpful.

This site provides some information that can be useful in making your decision, but I would also like to encourage you to contact me in person. I invite you to take this first step and I look forward to speaking with you to discuss the role therapy can play in your life.

Our awareness of our inner emotions creates the basic music of the mind.

About

It is truly difficult to live with emotional distress and to cope with the many challenges that occur in life. Considering individual therapy does not need to be an overwhelming choice. Beginning therapy can be a first step toward emotional wellness.  Committing to this empathic and engaged therapeutic process provides you a powerful opportunity to create lasting and meaningful change in your life.

...the purpose of psychotherapy is to set people free

Couples seek out relationship therapy for many reasons. Some couples are in a high state of distress - other couples might wish to explore issues that they feel are impacting communication and closeness in an otherwise secure relationship. Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples is a powerful model for change and supports couples at any stage of their relationship. I encourage anyone who is concerned about their relationship or those who might wish to deepen their connection to their partner, to seriously consider Emotionally Focused Therapy as a way of strengthening their connection to those they love.

~ Rollo May, Ph.D.

What is the purpose of therapy?

How frequently should I schedule therapy sessions?

What is the fee structure?

How will I know when I am done therapy?

I feel weak coming to therapy.  Shouldn't I be able to do this on my own?
